In latest years, microblading has taken over the beauty industry. Using a hand-held device, a fuller, long-lasting, natural-looking brows can be accomplished.
The whole process takes about 2 hours. Sugar Eyes’ specialist starts with cleaning the brows and application of numbing cream. Mapping out the shape and drawing of the outline are the first crucial steps. Then, our specialist measures the client’s brow points and creates a shape that is according to the face structure and what the client desires. While stretching the skin, our specialist begins microblading with light pressure. A state-of-the-art hand-held tool is used to fill in the brow area with pigment, creating thin and precise hair strokes. Finally, brows are wiped and cleaned.
There is minimal to zero pain and discomfort. Little blood to no blood.
As for the aftercare, client needs to make sure to avoid sweating. He/She must take caution on the pressure of shower heads when taking a bath.
Brows might feel a little sore after the procedure. The brand new brows will look darker and bigger than normal – but this is perfectly fine. Flakiness and patchiness can be experienced too. Peeling might take place in 4-6 weeks but expect the brows to be a few shades lighter.
After the appointment, the client needs to give his/her brows time to heal. Healing time varies per person. Everybody recovers differently and have unique skin types.
Go back for a touch up with us for about 4-6 weeks after the initial session.
The finest in permanent makeup, Microblading lasts up to 1-2 years with proper care and treatment.
Remember to stay out of the sun and avoid putting exfoliants (like retinol and glycolic acid)!
Also known as Microblading’s “little sister”…
Microshading is a method and technique of shading the eyebrow.
Often referred to as the “Shadow Effect,” it creates a soft, powdered effect that resembles eyebrow powder. This technique is completed using either an electric hand tool or a manual tool. Instead of the typical hair stroke of microblading, microshading utilizes a stippling technique using repetitive pigment dots.
Our specialists use a tool which looks like a pen at one end with multiple needle points. The color is manually etched into the skin with this pen — the intensity, softness and depth of the pigmentation depends on the manual pressure applied.
Microshading can be the best option for those with oily and sensitive skin. It is known to be a mild alternative to Microblading.
The lifespan of microshading and microblading does not differ. So, the clients have an approximate 1-2 years of perfect, natural-looking brows before they need to see our brow specialists again.
Last but certainly not the least, Ombré Brows
Also known as Powder Brows/Shaded Brows, Ombré Brows is the manual process of inserting pigment into the top layers of skin.
It is considered to be the newest shading technique.
It can be customized and is perfect for anyone who likes a smooth and natural look. This technique produces pixilated dots with no rough front or outline to mimic powder-filled brows. This technique of shadowing is less invasive. Our specialists achieve Ombré brows using a small machine, which disperses extremely fine dots of pigments to the skin in an airbrush or shading technique. Unlike microblading which uses a hand-held tool that creates incisions or small cuts into the skin, microshading is less painful and causes less to no bleeding due to the airbrush-like technique. Take note that repeated incisions into the same spots can result in trauma to the skin.
Typically, it can last an average of 2-3 years. Ombré brows are great for any skin type, unlike microblading, which is not suitable for those with oily skin.
